Need You (A Modern Psalm ©)

On a beautiful sunny day in New York City, I decided to take a walk along the East River, to clear my mind and energize the soul.
That whole day I was feeling a little "low," and lost. I was hoping to speak with the Creator, ask for some guidance.
The weather was perfect; not too hot, just right with an amazingly sweet breeze. It was comforting. I spoke to The Creator and asked for guidance...
When I arrived home I sat down and recorded my conversation:
Through the heartache
and pain of time

I choose to be alive

As I lift up my head toward your light

I cry with all my might

I need you

I want to feel you

Please embrace my soul

Help me free my heart

Let my spirit soar

Open up the door

I need you

I walk by the river

Wind on my face

And I know this warmth

It’s your sweet embrace

You are here with me now all around

And I know that I can rise up, be proud

Suddenly nothing hurts

And everything feels right

I open up my eyes

And I see the light

I open up my eyes

And I see your light!

I need you

I want to feel you

Please embrace my soul

Help me free my heart

Let my spirit soar

Open up the door

I need you

You need me too...
